As a broke college student trying to piece together a new setup for the upcoming semester after my last (and only) PC died, I picked this bad boy up for $105 a few weeks ago, and for the money, I couldn't be happier. I'll say that for the money, the color spectrum is fairly adequate, you can get 75 Hz out of it, and the response time (ideal for gaming) is very much reasonable for little over a hundred bucks. I play some video games, edit photos, and do some light video editing. This display is better than any other at the price I could afford, so if you're as broke as I am, you'll be fine with how it works for you. However, if you buy it and compare it to a 144hz, full Adobe sRGB color, OLED HDR display, it won't stack up.
In order to convert my Raspberry Pi 3 into an all-in-one computer, I picked up this display. My Pi becomes a tablet-like PC thanks to this touchscreen. While it won't completely replace an iPad or an Android tablet, it is a good option for locations where a touchscreen is desired for simple operations and a Pi is used to control things. You should also be aware that the Pi is not enclosed, and the electronics on this monitor are exposed. Therefore, you'll either need to build your own casing or put it somewhere that the electronics are protected. I'll probably create a unique case and 3D print it. Everything you need to install and operate an earlier Pi is included with the monitor. Four included screws are used to install the Pi on the back of the monitor, and four additional nuts are used as spacers. Use the same technique that you used to mount the display control board to the Pi. An HDMI to HDMI cable is included to connect the Pi to the monitor. A separate connection or an adapter is required if you own a Pi 4, as it has two Micro HD
This small screen works well for RPI projects or as a digital image frame. The sensitivity of the capacitive touchscreen is excellent. As long as the monitor is connected to the RPI USB port, the RPI (3 B, in my instance) operates without any additional hardware. You must have some prior experience mounting a Raspberry Pi since there aren't really any instructions. Although a rather lengthy HDMI to HDMI connection is included, I chose to use a much shorter one of my own. Any form of cable management would be the sole improvement. The rear appears to be a little messy. I'm reminded of vintage Netbooks by the 1024x600 resolution. Just be advised that if the window cannot be expanded, some programs will not appear correctly.
